Galway, Ireland – 30 January 2025 – This morning on GOCOM Radio’s Breakfast Show, Dr. Dineo Moiloa-Murphy, CEO, Miss/Mrs Africa Ireland, shared insights into how the pageant will transform the lives of African women in Ireland. More than just a beauty contest, the initiative promotes confidence, leadership, and cultural pride among its participants.
Speaking with host Islammiyah Saudique-Kadejo, Dr. Moiloa-Murphy explained that the competition is open to African women living in Ireland aged 18 to 35, regardless of marital status, and encourages self-expression, personal growth, and community impact. Interested participants can apply online through the official Miss/Mrs Africa Ireland platform, with the competition featuring categories beyond beauty—such as leadership, advocacy, and talent.
“The goal is to uplift and empower women, giving them a platform to embrace themselves, and shine light on women beyond beauty, while leading as change-makers,” she stated.
For those interested in participating or supporting the initiative, applications are now open, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
