This Saturday, Moradeun Oduwole, a Pharmacist and convener of the highly anticipated Woman of Impact event, will bring together women from diverse backgrounds to explore this year’s theme: "Strong Woman, Soft Woman." In an exclusive interview on GOCOM Radio Breakfast Show, Oduwole shared insights into the inspiration behind the event, the evolution of her platform, and the importance of balancing strength and softness in women's lives.
“The Woman of Impact event is designed to highlight the power and potential of women who are making a difference in their communities,” Oduwole explained. “This year’s theme, 'Strong Woman, Soft Woman,' was chosen to break down the stereotypes that often pit these two qualities against each other. I want women to know that you don’t have to choose between being strong and soft—you can be both.”
Oduwole went on to discuss the unique perspectives that this year’s speakers will bring, offering a diverse range of insights on how women can embrace these traits in both their personal and professional lives.
She also shared a preview of the event's exciting activities, which will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops—on Finance, Nutrition, and Wellbeing. “We want attendees to leave feeling inspired, uplifted, and ready to impact their worlds positively,” Oduwole added.
Looking ahead, Oduwole envisions Woman of Impact growing as a platform for future generations of women. “This is not just about one event. It’s about creating a movement that encourages women to take ownership of their stories and their futures,” she said.
