Lorraine Hogan, the founder of Festival Mná and a renowned wellness coach, has invited women across Ireland to a special Mná Meet-Up in celebration of St. Brigidet’s Day on Saturday, February 1st. In an exclusive interview on GOCOM Radio with Islammiyah Saudique-Kadejo, Lorraine shared her inspiration, vision, and the profound impact of Festival Mná, which has become a cherished event honouring women’s contributions and fostering empowerment, connection, and community.
The festival is rooted in the traditions of Nollaig na mBan, a day historically dedicated to celebrating women’s invaluable roles in family and society. Lorraine shared that the festival’s activities, including yoga, meditation, music, and inspirational speeches, aim to empower and uplift women.
She highlighted the lasting impact the festival strives to achieve. “Our mission is to ensure that women leave with a sense of connection, inspiration, and the confidence to carry these messages into their daily lives. By bridging generational gaps, we honour our shared heritage while shaping a brighter, more inclusive future.”
The Mná Meet-Up workshop on St. Brigid’s Day promises to explore the rich history and significance of Ireland’s beloved saint through storytelling, hands-on activities, and moments of reflection. To make the celebration even more inclusive, Lorraine announced that a free ticket to the workshop will be offered to one lucky GOCOM Radio listener.
