SAUTI-Youth is an initiative that aims to meaningfully engage young people in the governance process, particularly in relation to climate actions and mitigation policies.
In an interview on GOCOM Radio Breakfast Show, young leader from SAUTI-Youth, Michelle C. Aivazova advocates for change in climate actions, adding that voice of the youth matters, and they should be part of discussions and policies that impact their future.
Michelle also said that young people are being trained by SAUTI-Youth on Model of Citizen Voices and Action, a non-comfrontational model of negotiation. She called on Local Authorities, Strategic Policy Committes and Public Participation Networks to encourage youth engagement and participation.
