A youth-led educational resource called Tight Spaces which was created by the young people in ARD Youth Project and Irish Refuge Council Youth Project is set to launch.
The resource raises awareness of Direct provision system to bridge the huge gap in knowledge for young people in Ireland - which is generally not taught in schools and many young people are not aware of. Few people, when they do learn about it, are always shocked by the injustices of it.
The resource is to be used in schools and youth groups to raise awareness and generate empathy and solidarity.
Young leaders from Irish Refugee Council, Abdulai Mansaray, Marwa Zamir and Nike Monisola Awoyemi, with Blessing Bolatumba and Aalba Mathew from ARD Youth Project spoke to us today on their inspiration and goals for Tight Spaces.
